Treatment for Fleas and Ticks using Perma-Guard Dogs and Cats Pet Insecticide
Share
On the Animal
Powder the head of the animal first including their ears. You may want to put a cotton ball in the ear so the powder does not go deep into the ear. Do the animal’s hind end next. Apply to the whole body, rubbing their fur backwards while applying the powder. This way the powder will be in contact with the skin. Fleas will start to drop off. You will definitely want to do this out of doors!
Don’t’ forget the animals bedding and kennel or run or any area where they frequent.
In the Home
If there are fleas in your home you will have them in your carpet and upholstery. You
will have to apply the Dogs and Cats pet Insecticide to the infested areas. The best way we know of to apply the product is with a good, old fashioned Flour Sifter right from your kitchen. Walk back and forth while turning the handle and the powder will fall straight down. Make a thin coating then rub it into the carpet to get deep down where the fleas live and eggs are waiting to hatch. On carpets, the best tool we have found for this purpose is the garden rake. Actually there are rakes sold specifically for carpets. Check with Home Depot or a Carpet Dealer. This isn’t really necessary as the garden rake works well. If you use a broom you will have powder flying all over the house. Leave the powder on overnight, then vacuum lightly. The more you leave in the carpet the better.
This procedure will have to be repeated in a week or so as the eggs hatch until you gain
control.
